Afghanistan: Kunduz retaken, but Taliban captures other districts.

The government of Afghanistan has retaken most of the city Kunduz from the Taliban forces. US Special Forces reportedly took part in the operation.

Meanwhile, Taliban took Imam Sahib district in the Kunduz Province, north of Kunduz city, as well as Khak-e-Safid district in western Afghanistan.

Update:

As of late 1 October 2015, fierce fighting continues inside Kunduz. While the government appears to control most of the city, it does not control all of it, as Taliban continues resistance on the outskirts.
