Afghanistan: Taliban conquers another northern district

While the Afghan government forces still struggle to fully liberate the city of Kunduz after taking most of it, the Talibs continue taking over other areas of the country.

On 2 October 2015 Taliban successfully attacked and took over Warduj District in the Badakhshan Province. This area is located east of Kunduz, in the north-eastern corner of Afghanistan.

This success of the Talibs comes after a number of other districts had been captured by them in the recent days.
